The Roche Electric Hygienic Machine, patented in 1915, had the consumer stand barefoot on a pair of eleven inch metal conductor foot plates build into the fold-out top of the box. The machine was turned on and a moistened sponge was then rubbed over those parts of the body needing treatment. Close examination of the patent reveals that it is for the design of the box only![1]
