In 1919, the universal extension pedal, Rico, was the only device of its kind which fits every type or shape of automobile brake and clutch. This device was a permanent and dependable means for bringing the pedals closer to the driver and eliminating the need for stretching or use of cushions by thousands of car owners and operators and particularly by the great number of women drivers.[1]
