Patented in 1877, The Aquapult, or Portable Hand Force Pump, could throw eight gallons per minute to protect against fire, wash windows and carriages, water gardens, etc. It met the demand of customers who required a pump that sets directly in the water, while the step, coming to the level of the ground, enables it to be easily held in position while being operated.
