Explosion Proof Phone

The Bell System Model 520 Explosion Proof Phone was used in the early 1970’s. The phone is made to be air tight so that no sparks could come in contact with the atmosphere. Used in mines, grain elevators or other flammable environments. It has a single phone line with an industrial round wall enclosure weighing about 30 lbs.
