Sadly this is not an antique intestinal clamp. It is simply a Hartigan’s champion Egg Opener patented in 1903.
Place the Egg Opener onto one end of the egg so as to take off about one fourth of the shell; then press the jaws together until the sharp points pierce the shell; then lift the handles of the Egg Opener, which will cause the shell to part and the same can be removed from body of egg and shell.
