The Morticians Reconstruction Model was used to aid the mortician in the reconstruction of a face using wax. The death mask is made of thick rubber and fits over the “skull”. This was used by students to practice proper coloration techniques.

Earlier models were made of cast metal, while our later model is clay. The modern versions are made of plastic.
